jimmy-i'm not seeing any love at the present time. i think there used to be when they first met, but it died off a long time ago and now theyre stuck in a loveless marriage
Nathan- I don't think that Mr. P represents men as a whole, but I think you bring up a good point. I think that by having both Mr. P and Robert, who is generally a good person, she may be trying to say something about the balance of good and evil.
Jimmy-Just like chelsea said I believe that it is a state of mind. Because since she did change her mind I dont think that the wallpaper was repulsive.
jordanc, Yes i agree that the "woman" behind the wallpaps is her doppleganger because a doppleganger is like the "evil twin" of a person. I find that the "woman in the wallpaper is a doppleganger because she is antagonizng her and making her crazy.
Brian, I didn't hear about your research but that does sound really interesting! I dont understand how this would keep people from going crazy. In my opinion this piece would make you go crazy. Because it would make me look at wallpaper or walls and see if i could find anything in them. You might obsess over that.
Tana, You agreed with Julia's point and asked that there was a chance if John was the one with the problem and not the lady. I think that maybe John is the one with the problem because when we researched hysteria online it said that sometimes men would just diagnose their wifes with it because they were annoyed with them or something. I have a feeling that John was just annoyed with her or had something against her and told her she was sick.

Hey Sixth Hour!
Did anyone notice that the author frequently describes the light and shadows in the novel, especially in Chapter 2 and 3.
Your thoughts?
Just kidding!
